September 2011 Greetings in the Precious Name above all Names .... my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Each morning when I have a devotional time with my Heavenly Father .... I thank Him for all He has given me...all He has allowed me to do these 33 years of full-time Ministry. It is a great assignment, as Apostle Paul says in Acts 20:24 .... little did I know when I "hung up" on Ma Bell, August 1978 .... that my life would be so exciting! Acts 20:24 - My life (Lillie's life) is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me....telling others the Good News about God's mighty kindness and love. My! .... September was a very busy time for me. I love to minister for Senior luncheons .... (now that I ARE one Through the years, I have loved contributing to many ministries .... sometimes for a short time .... others for longer periods .... There is one I have never stopped giving to .... it is Teen Challenge .... founded by David Wilkerson .... more than 50 years ago. If you don't know his life's story .... please read his book ...."The Cross and The Switchblade." It will bless you (I recently re-read it). It encourages us to see what God will do .... when we surrender our lives to Him. God gave Pastor Wilkerson a burden for "gang members" in New York .... and the rest is history. Perhaps you have heard of Nicky Cruz .... well, he was saved through the preaching of David Wilkerson. Just recently, Brother Wilkerson went to be with Jesus .... leaving behind a far-reaching ministry. I was so blessed to be a part of their annual fundraiser .... to hear those powerful testimonies from the men whose lives have been changed. I am always blessed when I can sing "Oh Happy Day" with their choir .... of course they remember well the "Happy Day" when they asked Jesus to be Lord, Savior and Master. II Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. I'm still working on my CD, was good to sing those wonderful old hymns of the church .... plus other songs you will enjoy. It is coming along well .... I am so thankful to God for how He is supplying the finances. I simply asked friends and family to help me pay for this project and God is touching hearts .... folk are giving. The names of everyone who gave will be listed on the CD insert .... plus I will send a free CD to them as a Thank You. It is not too late to be included. II Corinthians 9:7 - So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. September is LA County Fair time .... I have lived here 11 years and each year I say I am going, but I never had .... so when my dear friend, Maile, was visiting from Hawaii .... I thought what a fun time to go. We arrived at opening time, 12 Noon, and left at 11pm .... what a day! I love to see the quilts, crocheted and knitting items .... even sat in on a food preparation .... one of my favorite foods, salmon .... the chef prepared for us.

I was off to Las Vegas area to see two special people .... my sister recuperating from a hip replacement, she is doing well. I am so happy as she had suffered much pain through the last few years .... but is now pain free! God is good to give doctors the knowledge to replace things in our bodies to give us a better life .... you know of course, that Jesus is the Great Physician. I went to a small town near Vegas, called Pahrump, to help celebrate the 91st birthday of a dear friend .... she loves to play Bingo, has a sharp mind .... loves God and wins most every day at Bingo. I played a game with he r.... but I can't seem to look that quickly at all the cards.
I went to a special concerrt of Signature Sound, one of my favorite groups .... they are great. There was so much talent on that stage .... they glorified God.
I'm excited for all the doors God has opened for me this year, 2011 .... I am already booking 2012 .... so if you would like to have me come to your Seniors Group ... your Ladies Luncheon ... even your church .... just let me know. Thanks for supporting this Ministry with your prayers and your giving .... I need both, In my devotion time, God speaks to me through His Word, I like to hide it in my heart .... so I can use it when I need a verse to come against satan .... it is the most powerful weapon we can use against him .... that is what Jesus did. Hebrews 4:12 - The Word of God is living and active. Sharper than a two-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitude of the heart. How has your day been? .... your week? .... your month? .... your year? .... Are there stresses of your job? Do you need a job? Is there family friction? Is there depression? Whatever it is, I trust that you are turning each and every problem over to God. He asks us to. I Peter 5:7 - Cast your cares on Him because He cares for you. Remember, we are yoked up with Him and He will never give us more than we can bear....He promised that. So, when things seem too much for you, the yoke simply shifts over onto Him. Matthew 11:28-30 - Come unto Me, all ye who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light.
